i was gonna get the sapphire 6850 gpu but will the 6900 series be coming soon, so the 6850 will come down in price, i got an amd phenom ii x6 1055t cpu, a corsair 1666 2gbx2 and a asus m4a88t motherboard

Yeah might aswell wait to see if its coming down in price,but i highly doubt it,the 6900 are not intended to replace the 6800,there are high end and xtreme end,so they will remain at the same price probably

The things that limit screen FPS are going to be the resolution you are displaying at and the video card that is being used. The rest of the system is fine, but I would try either getting a new video card or getting 2 for SLI mode and displaying at a higher resolution like 1920×1080. It may also be the program/game you are using is capping it at 60 FPS.
