I want to hook up my netbook to my tv, both of which are specified above, i think the netbook has a VGA port and i think the tv also has one and i found some vga cables online but i was wondering if itd be better to buy the type that has the red,white,and yellow ends for the tv rather than another vga thing for the tv end. You won’t get HD level resolution from the red, white and yellow connectors. The red and white are for audio anyway. Use the VGA connection for the highest resolution possible and adjust your computer’s display resolution for 720p. Also, you may want to get some computer speakers for sound, since VGA only transmits video.

I have an ASUS 1005HA netbook and the speakers are too quiet.
I dont want to purchase any usb gadgets for this.

Right click the volume icon at the bottom right and open volume control. If you’ve not already done so turn each slider up. If this doesn’t work then I’d recommend buying some speakers.
