SCtri.exe is a rootkit. You need some rootkit cleaners to remove the virus. I used the following rootkit removers to clean out the system. I highly recommmend using more than one tool. None of the tools catch all of them and some of the tools only identified one rootkit. I found a total of 8 root kits on this machine. A new record.
- Mcafee rootkit remover
- Panda rootkit remover
- sophos rootkit remover
- AVG rootkit
Remove the system restore files or you’ll continue to get warnings after the clean up. Put Norton 2009 on your system to keep it clean.
