Question by Mrs. Presley: Direct TV DVR trouble?
My DVR acts funny sometimes, which I kind of expect out of all electronics, but the most annoying is that it won’t let me fast forward, skip, or rewind my shows that I record from network stations. It will record them fine, and I can hit FF one time, but if I push it again or hit the skip ahead or rewind button it either goes instantly to the end and asks if I want to delete it or exits altogether. It’s not all shows, and best I can tell it is mainly on the network channels vs the “cable” channels.
Anybody else have this trouble? And more importantly, do you know how to fix it? (I really don’t feel like sitting on hold for hours w/ DTV right now, but I would like to fix it.)

I’m pretty sure it’s because the DVR you have, your supposed to stop then FF then FF.

Hi everyone! Got USB cable interface for FREE FMS RC FLIGHT SIMULATOR of eBay, was asured by seller that it gonna work with my Walkera WK-0701 transmitter, but it did not, and even more i could not find drivers or software to get it working, as it turned out it was impossible to setup cable which is “VERY EASY TO SETUP”. After days of surfing internet 100′s sites & forums, found out that most walkera transmitters are PCM modulation but USB interface ONLY works with PPM transmitters. I had no choice but to get my transmitter working with FMS so i’ve found schematics and software for cable wich is connects to MICROPHONE JACK and there is no needs to setting it up it JUST WORKS! I’ve built my own cable and the only thing i had to do is connect cable and calibrate controller the same way as if it was joystick. PS. using FMS saves 100′s on repair, and gives opportunity to fly and feel loads of different models, not just one you have

I have done some research to record videos without buying other hardware.. I resently asked if my xbox cable “VGA” could go into my PC, and run it through my graphics card.. But I also just learned that my VGA and DVI on my graphics cards are Outputs, So cannot see that happening. The only other Port not is S-Video. From everything you shared here I would say you can not make your s-video change over to an input over output jack. Another thing to know about S-Video is that it can not do audio, just giving you a heads up.

Hi,
I am in the market for HDMI to DVI cable in order to connect a PS3 to my HDCP LCD monitor.
I am trying to understand whether I should look for an HDCP compatible cable or the cable is “just a cable” and has nothing to do with HDCP, one of my needs is watching Bu-ray movies.
I initially thought not, but I read that someone connected his PS3 over a DVI to his LCD and got 1080p but not on Blu-ray content (he got something like 480p and blames the converter)

HDCP is a feature of the device NOT the cable.
Any DVI to HDMI cable should work.
